Martial Waking Blog

It seems that a few months always past before i actually get a new post up ^_^”. For this i apologise ….. though it’s not likely to change >_>. In any case i’ll assume the blogger role for a few minutes. This post is to more or less update you on recent happenings concerning both MW and me as well. In the past few months i have managed to do alot concerning the Martial Waking Theme V.3 and it should be about ready for release whenever i can get around to finishing it up. The good thing is that the initial design stage is complete so now i just need to implement theme and deploy it both on my wordpress blog (which involves making a wordpress theme |||_- ) and on my sweetcron site. This will take ….ohhh about3 more months ….. just kidding (i hope >_>). In any case look out for it soon.

As for me in the past few months I’ve managed to do a lot. I’ve gotten my gaming desktop built, finished a working linux server and gotten my new Dell Studio 1537. I’ve also passed all of my courses with B’s, B-’s an A’s. Now all that’s left is to do the FAA Private Pilot Written Exam (for which i should be studying <_<). A few cool things happened at work too. A Yak-52 (the video is on my youtube account …which is linked somewhere below. ) and on his way out he did a flyby which was pretty awesome. I also got to see a Cirrus SR-22 close up. I also for the first time traveled to my one of my relative’s place in Pennsylvania on my own via Greyhound ….. the trip took 24 hours …..24 HOURS. At least i got a lot of pictures. The reason for the trip was that my aunt and my uncle were renewing their vows. It was pretty nice ^_^. And i also got to see my cousin, who is still as energetic as ever XD (yes you are kuri-chan). The trip back was more or less uneventful (with the exception of the last bus which had wifi >_<) and i made it back to campus without any mishaps (except for the homeless guy in Pittsburgh …. which is a story for another time). All in all it was a good trip and i enjoyed it.

Well that’s about it as far as updates. If it wasn’t for twitter … i think nothing new would ever show up on this site XD.

I realize that this blog is slowly succumbing to the usual fate that plagues most of my blogs. Slow and painful disregard. But i have decided that i will at least maintain one blog. So to begin I’ll just update and stuff and probably rant on others, and what better way to begin than by writing in a state of mind that can only be achieved at 2:41 in the morning. After all complete exhaustion tends to bring the truth out of our weary minds ….. that or complete and utter nonsense. In any case here we go.

Well the current semester is almost over and i think it pretty much went as well as i could have hoped. Quite a bit happened, i learned a lot and I’ve seen a lot too. I’ve gotten to do a lot of stuff I’ve been trying to do for a while such as building a desktop (A.K.A. Project Toshiko ….. though it somehow ended up being named Kallen when it was done 0_o) and finally replacing my worn out (but faithfully indestructible) Inspiron 1300 with a dell studio. A lot of interesting have happened through the semester but my mind is too exhausted to really recall anything -_-. The thing i found the strangest is how easily i just got used to everything over here. After the first few weeks of learning locations …. it just became ….to put i simply …. home base. Things were just normal and i shifted over as if nothing had changed. Only disadvantage is that i still waste as much time as i usually do.

As i type this sleep is slowly defeating me but i am determined to finish this.

What i wonder however, is what else is there to type, perhaps how the mind  decends into madness consciousness begins to fade (in a second while i was falling asleep i wrote this in the line above “how the mind  decends into madness as the gear begins to descend” …… aircraft? …. your subconscious really tend to come out then i guess.) ……………

Well it seems as though everything went well with the preparations for going to Andrews University because i am writing this post from my laptop in Fort Lauderdale, miami International Airport. I have a few hours to wait before my flight to Chicago O’ Hare but till then, i think therefore i blog. The past 2 weeks or so have been a complete blur of miracles, impossible things coming through and non-stop surprises. Everything just fell into place one after the other and I’m still kinda dumbstruck about the whole thing. I can only thank God because the way things fell into place at the last minute this could only be an act of God. That aside I’m even more excited, though i wish that i didn’t have to wait 3 more hours -_-. In any case I’m keeping occupied by playing Halo and Call of Duty XD.  Till i find something else to blog about ..

It seems like my life is about to get a whole lot different.  Monday gone i recieved my I-20 form from Andrews University in Michigan, that would allow me to get my student visa. That is a very good thing indeed … except that it came really really close to when i was supposed to leave. Since then it has been a hectic scramble to get everything in order and to make sure that i would have everything i needed while i was up there. Now most (if not all of it -_-”) is my fault as i stupidly put the notion in my head that since it seemed that i would not get through in time for december i would just reschedule for september (more like August of 2009) and i would just relax and stuff and get everything ready in time and without a rush. A few words on that …… stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid stupid  … STUPID -_- . In anycase i’ve been trying my best to get it all done and despite everything i am quite excited to finally get to do what i’ve dreamed of doing all my life, which by the way if i’ve never mentioned it online, is to become a pilot. I’m just waiting to get one last thing and i am praying that it comes in time for my flight next week …… good heavens 0_o. 
 

In other news:

• I apologise to my superiors and co-workers at work for having to leave on such short notice. I was supposed to finish at least two projects for them but it seems as though that would be pretty much impossible now. Once again i apologise and i hope that i can help in anyway i can.
• The Caribbean Traffik Jam Site is completely done and i’ll be posting a link to it in my portfolio in a few days.

Well it seems as if that’s it for this very hastilly written blog post. Till more news comes up, and i’m sure it will

Yeah well i know that i said i would post the chronicles of my travels (less dramatically: stuff that happened while i was away) But yeah … i have never been know to keep a constant blogging schedule so bear with me. THe point of this post is mostly to test a new blogging software so … ja ne.

I haven’t posted anything or done any work on martial waking in a while mostly because I’ve been working on a *truck drives by* for my good friend *jack hammer starts up* …… oh yeah I forgot they asked me to keep it quiet until it was done so that’s all you guys are going to know for now. Well I’m currently writing this post from Brooklyn, New York. I am currently here on some family business and I have a lot to post about as well as some pictures to put up. I am going to use an external gallery this time so you guys will see it as soon as i get it up. In the meanwhile I will be posting a backlog of stuff that happened since we got here including but not limited to flying through the edge of a hurricane riding via greyhound bus from Florida to Philadelphia, getting stuck in one station because of the same hurricane and ….. Deer. Anyways I’ll actually be using a blog how it’s actually supposed to be used to tell stuff. Until then laterz.

The lastest post always seems to have unusally large sized font when viewed in Internet Explorer. Now as a web developer we are advised never to say “Best viewed in - *insert browser here*” as that would be bad practise and would prevent us from creating content that is accesible to everyone on all browsers. That being said …… why do we even use internet explorer!?!?!? It has so many issues and problems … the main of which is that it’s slow and has quite a few web compatibility issues. The other reasons why is for another rant. Use Mozilla Firefox ……. it may save your life …… or at least your life on the web. And now a convenient link http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ and a portable version you can use on your flash that will store your settings, bookmarks, etc on your flashdrive no matter what pc you use it on http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable . Yes …….. shameless promotion is the way of the future XD. 

Well I haven’t posted in some time and that’s cause I’m very busy…….. playing Halo … and Battlefield ……. and more or less wasting time.  I realized that I would have to do over a small piece of the main site layout after I got some suggestions from one of my good friends, who by the way is getting married (Congrats Talitha ^_^” ). So it looks like I’m gonna have to modify the theme a bit. However seeing that it took a year and 5 months to actually start the new theme, 2 months to finish it (of which about 3 weeks were actually spent working on it ), this more less shows my pattern of work …….. which is do a piece, leave and finish it later …. like in about a few months :P. I’m going try and not let that happen this time and I’m actually going to start working on it …… soon ….. next month ……. maybe.
In other news-ish stuff, we got a few new visitors. To you I say welcome. Unfortunately you got to this site at a bad time ….. the dev stage. The content on it is near zilch …….. okay it is zilch, and while the old site had stuff I haven’t had the time to transfer them across from the old server. So I apologize for the emptiness ^_^’’. This site never really had any point or purpose to begin with so it’s not too far of course (as one great man said “If you don’t set goals … you don’t have to worry about keeping them” ……… not that it makes sense but hey I matches this site perfectly). So welcome again and I hope you stick around until we are done. More or less that’s it……. so yah.
 

Okay it seems as though this layout has a few flaws so i am going to be redoing the whole thing …. soon. When i feel up to the task i’ll get started on it.
